Does what a feed reader should
Unlike many RSS reader applications which are just excuses to drag the user to their website, Leaf functions cleanly as an RSS reader. It lets me add feeds on my own computer and view articles either in the application or on a browser. The three-column format is clean and easy to use. You can choose either periodic or manual feed updates.
At first it bombarded me with notifications, one for every article in every feed. It took some work, but I was able to make them stop. That big a mass of notifications shouldnt be the default. The main annoyance which I cant fix is that it grabs an image from every article, whether its specified in the feed or not, and displays it with an animated bounce. This slows down the reader, since the images can be large. Id like an option to turn images off.
