I switched to this RSS reader and have been very pleased with how efficiently it works. It’s simple, with an interface that’s easy to use and makes sense.

Why is the “Open Articles in Browser” on by default? I’d rather open the articles within Leaf.
Technically, the app performs well enough. There’s a major issue with Newsblur in that proper synchronization doesn’t occur (~12000 articles, vs. ~46000 in Newsblur itself). I emailed support at Rocky Sand Studio, and got no response back, much less any sort of recognition that a bug fix was coming. It makes the app currently unusable for my use case. If you’re not a Newsblur user, you’ll probably like Leaf a lot.
Another case of a once-great application succumbing to marketing idiots. The latest version is constantly annoying me with popups — one of them even had the nerve to ask if I liked the application. No, I do NOT like an app that constantly badgers me. Time to get another RSS reader, Im afraid.
Still not fixed in the new version. Overall Lef is a great RSS reader. When using the dark theme however, the white flash when changing articles is annoying, at the least, and epileptic shock inducing, at the worst. Please fix this small graphical glitch. Good apps become great apps when there is an attention to the details. Show you care.
Would be great if only the new articles were displayed, then sort by date and show oldest unread articles on top! Thks!
A good application, with a pleasant modern UI. The latest version is much more beautiful and still does its job well. Keyboard control and integration with read-it-later services were added. However, it is still missing pull-to-refresh, and… categories are not imported :-/ Folders are still there, but are not managed through the preferences anymore (good) and you’ll have to sort your feeds again (bad).
One of my favourite newsreaders - really good interface, which keeps things simple and easy to read !
Update after update it’s still impossible to select several feeds at once to move them into a folder or to delete them. It makes the app extremely not convenient if, like me, you are suscribing to a thousand feeds. The app would be perfect otherwise, but meanwhile it’s simply useless.
Please, please, let us change this UGLY red bar, OS X silver is so so nice!
Amazing update! Thanks for adding Readability support!
If I could group all rss by their source would be perfect and more organized.
I love the app but I think it could have iCloud support to sync subscriptions and read/unread articles between devices. Sometimes when I click on an article the app opens a blank twitter page. I use Leaf every day and it’s great, but it needs more often updates.
The new interface is smooth and beautiful, and it’s nice to see that they take suggestions from users on twitter (like me, that suggested via twitter to add the option to browse individual feeds within folders). Loved It! Congratulations for the work, I was using readkit, but i’m back to leaf again :)
If there was a thing that bothered me, whats that sliding animation between articles everytime I jump (“J”) from an article to another. To avoid this, I kept "clicking" on my feed and it would just change, all static. Now, in this new version, there’s an fade-in/fade-out transition. Meh. My focus is reading and not being surprised by animations.
it’s very good app, but if have a pt-br translation, will be better to us.
Verry nice App, but i miss the All Read BUTTON… the Al Read in the Menue is not Good..! Please add an All Read Button!
To many contras: - No Shortcuts - Open in browser must be done with mouse clicks - Open in browser is not working This is a slowdown in my reading style. Used for 10 Minutes and deleted! Hints for new Features - Add google reader / vim like shortcuts (for pros) - Add simple shortcuts for the rest
Leaf works really well and I like its simplistic UI. But please have a look at the integration of Instapaper. I can’t log in to my account. Tried 10 times with correct credentials, no luck.
The new version of Leaf has really improved in terms of features to finally make it enough for my needs. I had used the app in the previous version and liked it but found the possibilities lacking but now it’s where it should be. Great work! Can’t say too much about stability before using it a bit longer.
